i have just been called rude by a telesales person for telling them i dont want a loan, new windows or a mortgage review i asked them to please stop calling and she said i was rude and she would phone back later to talk to "the man of the house". does anyone have the phone number to stop these annoying phone calls?

If your phone is a BT one, you can call customer services, leave your details and they will screen your calls. Don't know what to do if you are not with BT

It takes a while for it to filter through to the call centres after registering though.

Tell her that you are on register and that now youve asked her not to call again, that they are under obligation to never call. If they do you report them to tps.

I went mad at one of them the other day (I was ina bad mood anyway, trying to study!) and she said "Thanks for coming to the phone!" WHAT?? I said "It's MY f***ing phone! Of course I answered it!! IDIOT!" and hung up *blush*

I pass the phone to my 18month old, she jabbers away to them. They never stay long to have a conversation with her :-(

I get a lot of phone companies trying to get us to change from BT, someone once told me a great reply... I'm quite happy paying BT's exorbitant prices thanks! they get confused and hang up! he he!

Someone phoned yesterday saying "you phoned me today, you phoned me yesterday, i guess you'll call me tomorrow" and hung up... i was very confused as i hadnt phoned anyone! i thougtht that was pretty darn rude though if i had have phoned as i would have wanted to speak to him you'd think!

If you tell them you are with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service) they will cr*p themselves! As they get fined about 1000k if you report them! Just lie and tell them that next time

ask them for more and more details. let them waffle on and on, then eventually say, no youre not interested. say you thought it was a competeition to see who could waste whose time the most - then say 'i win, because i had nothing else to do but waste yours today'

Aaaarrrrgggg - wanting to talk to "the man of the house" that's the worst thing anyone could say to me loopy!!!! I would have just put the phone down!

We've been with TPS for some years now & have only had the odd 'nuisance' call.

i know i was so angry still am but thats due to something else!!! have contacted tps just have to put up with the pests for another 28 days. my husband is quite looking forward there call tonight he needs to vent some anger!!
