I'm only 23 but thoroughly agree with the way my parents disciplined me. I was first told not to do something, then if I continued told again with the reason why I shouldn't continue. Then if I still carried on I would have a slow count to 3 and if for some strange reason I was still not listening (which never really happened) I would get a smacked bottom or legs. As I got older this meant I grew up to repect my parents and understand their reasons and know that if I was actually smacked it was for a darn good reason.
Children nowadays aren't frightened of adults anymore, and thus have no respect. They even know how far they can go because they know the consequences on the adult if they were to hit them.
It makes me so cross. Actually people should have to pass some form of test in parenting before they reproduce!
Capital Punishment? Try telling that to all those women in gaol for "murdering" their babies when it eventually seems they were wrongly convicted. The poor Polish lad who served around 17 years for a crime he Could not have committed. And try telling that to one of your kids or grandkids who gets falsely accused of murder.
Unfortunately,miscarriages of justice happen all too frequently
