I think the problem is the word Judge... it implies a negative. And musical tastes can change throughout life... But having said that, I'd say all Westlife fans have no imagination and need to hear some real talented musicians....!! (ooh wait for the Westlife fans to have a go at me.... bring it on! Lol!)
I am afraid I am a little judgemental on those whose musical tastes have not gone beyond, say, Queen or REM, even Westlife and Girls Aloud. Of course I don't mean any harm and it never is mentioned but inside I may feel "how can you not know more" as there is so much more to know. Then again, people have different interests and mine is music.
I never get how some of the teenagers I work with can be passing around James Blunt and other 'slowies' - what happened to teen angst and rebellion. Maybe I hanker for the days of the Clash et al.
Yesterday I went on a long drive and my music varied from Il Divo, Shayne Ward, Billy Joel, and finishing with Queen. If it had gone any longer I don't know what would have been next. So what does that say about me?
I just play what appeals to my mood at the time.
Classical is good to keep the BP down! Stops me getting road rage!
On my way to work this morning my iSpod threw up the following bands:
Marillion
The Senseless Things
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Reef
The Sisters of Mercy
Pure Reason Revolution
Hayseed Dixie
Billy Joel
Opeth
The Orb
Warrior Soul
Faith No More
Tori Amos
The Fun Lovin' Criminals
Blackfield
Coheed and Cambria and finally...
The Dhol Foundation
What does that say about me?
