Im sor pleased that you are coping ok and that you are intending to continue with your studies, you parents must be proud of the way you are handling such a tough situation.
I was very lucky not to suffer too badly from morning sickness but I have been told that travel sickness bands which work on the pressure points on your wrist can aleviate some of it. You can get them from chemists so it may be worth investing.
Have you seen your midwife yet or do they leave it til 10 weeks or so where you are?
aaaaaaagggghhhhhhh the dreaded morning sickness i remember it well!! then comes the heartburn, the feeling you need to wee every 5 minutes coz your bladder is being squashed, the kicking under your ribs, not being able to tie your shoe laces up, then the labour!!!! hahaha sorry :-( being pregnant is fantastic make the most of it, it is a really special time, i wish you all the best xXxXx
Oh Kerry-ann, I know exactly how you feel regarding to sickness. I was SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOO ill for the first 17 weeks of my pregnancy, to the point I got badly dehydrated and had to be hospitalised for a week and put on a drip.
The key to it, I found, is not to let yourself go hungry, because the nausea gets worse, then you cant eat, its a vicous circle.
I have a 2 and 1/2 year old girl from that pregnancy who is my pride and joy, and going for number 2 now, so the end result is definately worth the illness :-)
And well done for carrying on with your studies, you are a strong independent woman, who will get far in this world.

Hi Kerry-Ann,
Sorry to hear about your morning sickness and I hope it dies down a bit soon!! I am full of admiration for you after the way you have dealt with such a major thing. You should be so so proud of yourself and I hope that your parents are proud too as they brought such a wonderful human being into the world. Well done for sticking with your studying and I wish you the best of luck with it all. Take care, Lisa xx
Hi Kerry Ann
- Try eating Ginger, you can get it from Holland & Barratt etc, it tastes alright cyrtalised with sugar or even better with chocolate on!
- Drink milk whenever you feel ill or have heart burn
- Try Gaviscon, its disgusting at first but very worth it! You can get it prescribed too!
- Rest!
Take care sweetie! xxxxxx
