Who is the most famous person on the Answer Bank?

In terms of numbers of posts and the count of people he/she has got into arguments with, I would say it's Ward-Minter.

And good for him I say. Even though we disagree on everything, it's good that he/she is around.

So who else? How many posts have you got under your belt.

(By the way, I've posted this on the News section because I believe this is related to news, insomuch that this is the most 'posted to' page.

WardMinter...................ARRRGGHHH !!!!

You have to consider though, that out of the so many posts anyone has in their profile, how many of them are actually proper answers to the questions, and how many of them are one-line 'chat' responses which, in reality, aren't answers in the true sense.

For the record, I've posted 6 questions, and given 71 responses. I would say that about 6 or 7 of those responses were thank yous, and acknowledgements for being thanked for my answers!

I agree with spudqueen - Andy Hughes and Quizmonster have been here since the year dot and you can always rely on them to give sensible answers.

while we are on this subject. What does it mean when you have questions removed? is it the user who has removed them or AB because they are offensive for what ever reason??

Its ABEd who has removed them - for one of several reasons. However, if a whole post is banned, there your own 'okay' answer would be banned to, so not all banned answers are contentious.

Interesting - the most famous names are the ones that I would've said too: Bernado, Ward-Minter, Quizmonster (probably the cleverest person I've ever encountered), Loosehead and Andy-Hughes.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread. Now let's get back to arguing pedanticly over news stories.

I feel your pain, Wardy!
Ward.....oh my god....no Cherie......you are going soft.
either you are all unemployed, or have too much time on your hands.

I don't have any favourites but think most popular characters are Quizmonster, Andy Hughes, Wardy, dot, bobtheturkey and the Biddies! I had a panic inducing dream about acw or jan_bug once back in the CB days, but she no longer posts.

Actually the most popular categories are Quiz and Puzzles and Adverts!

AB Editor - I don't believe Quizmonster is a person. Instead I think that it's a very clever piece of software developed by Microsoft.

No-one is that clever.

I've always had a theory that Quizmonster is Kevin from Eggheads.

You see...I do occasionally look into the News category, though I gave up treating it seriously - or even responding to actual 'news' questions - long since.
Not so much a piece of software, Sp, just an old guy with probably too much time on his hands and some of the finest research sources available to him.
I must thank all of you who have said kind things about me very much.
theres famous and infamous! I like andy hughs, always good, positive thoughtful answers. That makes him an excellent ABer.

I knew it was Kevin!

where is Ravi ramdas....comeon you havent forgotten him??
