Wasn't sure where to post this.

The number 08719 101010 is doing the rounds at the moment. Do not call it back as it is a scam. All of my work colleagues received a call from this number at around 8.00pm last night (our numbers are all similar).

Does anyone know who to complain to?

I cannot confirm that, but if you Google the number, there are a number of websites warning that it is a scam number.

Now THAT'S research! Can you get his number so that we can bombard the tw&t with fake calls?
my phone number is 0121 4456789, there's no scam running on 08719 101010, it's just a service that lets you send email to a phone. e.g. [email protected]

will allow anyone to send my phone an email. works on any Uk phone number including mobiles.

As for a scam it costs about 3 pence to get a sms length email, and it's free to send, so i don't think so.

Anything else?
my number is 0121 4456789.

The service isn't a scam, it lets you send email to a phone.

e.g. [email protected]

will send an email to my phone. it costs about 3 pence to get a short sms length email, and it's free to send, not much of a scam!

If your going to post at least get the right info. One more thing we are just the network provider, ie. provide the numbering not the actual service provider operating the service. smart arse!

any problems call me
...or just pop round.
