I'm out in Canada returning to Heathrow airport on the 23rd. I was curious as to what we were aloud to take on the aircraft, what with the recent terror alerts etc. Are things such as ipod etc aloud???? Please answer asap, Thank you, and kind regards from Joe xxxx

impossible to say at the moment - the ban on hand luggage has been lifted for UK flights, but anything could happen. Best wait until 2-3 days before you fly and check with your airline (as individual airlines may be imposing different rules).
From what I could see on the lunchtime news today, it appears that certain airlines are now allowing briefcase sized bags on as hand baggage. They appear to be allowing newspapers and books etc but have still a strict ban on and liquids, and electronic equipment.
i-pods are not allowed at the moment
