If Tony Blair wins a majority in this election, he'll be the only Labour Prime Minister to serve two successive full terms (if the 2001 parliament runs its full course). Elected for a short-lived second term were Clement Atlee, Harold Wilson and James Callaghan, but all lost to the second'term curse. Why? Various reasons - a tiny majority lost, blame for economic problems, union strikes.
