effective advertising

Hi there, not sure which subject to put this in, but I have decided to take on some more tutees (i'm a qualified teacher and have had a series of tutees in the past in my previous town, and have decided to build up the round again.)

However, does anyone know which advertisement method is the most effective. Post office windows? supermarkets or local rags. If local rags, does anyone know of a local paper which is good for advertising in in the littlehampton/chichester area?

how about speak to the admin centre at your local school or college, maybe they hold a list of tutor's and can offer refferals (sp?)
