What don't you expect to find in your bag of lettuce?? Answers on a postcard to: No Im not joking actually. My hubby & I sat down to eat our supper tonight, tucking in to a salad mix from a well known supermarket that shares a name with a Lord. Then he asked me what I thought this was and looking over to his plate and picking up the thing I discovered rabbit poo. mmm nice eh. I know Jamie Oliver is always telling us to try something different but Im not really ready for rabbit droppings to replace croutons. I will update you tomorrow as to what the shops explanation is and environmental healths.
Has anyone ever found anything worse than this ??

Well, I don't think I can top that, nickmo!!
Rinsed some watercress (really well), but when on my plate noticed a tiny slug...
I'm not easily fazed, but it was a while before I ate any again, and now I soak it so much, I think all the goodness must be washed away!
Excuse me, flumpet for hi-jacking...
nickmo, just to say a BIG thank-you for the courgette recipe (Cyprus). I happened to look back (yesterday) on some old threads, and noticed you had posted the delicious recipe for me...
thank-you

We are obviously not alone in our discovery !!
The funny thing is, is that Jamie Oliver is always asking us to try something different from Sainsburys.
Maybe bunny droppings is just going a trifle to far
(Not that I'v ever had bunny droppings trifle you understand)
We contacted them today and they apoligsed and asked if we had eaten it.
No, I replied. We are not in the habit of tasting things you normally bring back with you on your boots from a Sunday afternoon walk.
Gave them the batch number and so on and they are tracing it back to whence it came. Hope they don't tell the rabbit off too much, poor ickle bunny.
Must be a wonderful life living in a salad factory in Bratislava or wherever it came from. Maybe the bunny works there and had an argument with his line manager and thought, "I know how to get my own back".
Or maybe not.
