My kitten cries for food, I put it down then she just turns around and pads the floor - why?

I can't understand what my kitten is doing - she's 11 weeks old and usually eats little and often. However, she's getting a bit fussy and when I put food down for her she just turns round and pads the floor as if she's trying to cover the food up - she usually does the padding motion when she's been in her litter tray - now it's with her food. Does anybody know what she is doing or why? I feed her kitten food; whiskas (which she doesn't seem keen on) and Felix kitten food - which she likes more but still pads the floor with this too!! Any ideas? Many thanks.

You could try Hi Life for kittens or maybe try her on dry kitten food. Just a case of finding what she likes they're all fusspots ! Not sure about the padding I think I read somewhere it's connected with bowel movements, they either want to go or have just been !! Sorry can't be of more help- good luck with the food.
