sorry if you think this should be in news but its from my heart and thats part of my body and soul, at last that poor mam of the girl who got murdered has seen justice due to the change in the double jeperdy rule,the evil swine got found not guilty, then bragged to prison wardens and everyone that he done it, this brave brave lady [the girls mam] has campained for him to be tryed again and to day in court he pleded guilty, i hope he gets put away forever this time, the lady comes from billingham just up the road from me, and i seen her on local tv often pleading for them to change the law it has took her 15 long years for this day to come i am so pleased for and at least she can have a rest now know her job is done bless her

Just hope the system now keeps the ******* in and throws away the key to his cell. Shame they don't do hard labour any more. This mother's actions can't bring her daughter through the door and into her arms again, but at least she has won punnishment for the killer on her daughter's behalf . That will ease the pain a little and make the family's life a little better.
In this particular instance, the outcome seems to be just.
However, the law of double jeopardy was developed over and in force for 100s of years, presumably with good cause and beneficial results. I just don't like the idea of politicians playing about with laws, usually for quick political kudos or pandering to public opinion, which have served us well for 100s of years.

well like you say in this case, and in future if anything like this ever happened again at least somthing can be deemed to be done straight away instead of 15 years on, it has allways been my opiinion of another case that they should have changed the law maxine carr got of so lightly , this was not a minor offence it was the murder of two innocent little girls, which she helped cover up [i belive she knew from the begining ] out now costing us tax payers a bloody fortune, i am sure the law lords/judges in there ivory towers could have and should have changed the law to give her a longer sentence, i would like to meet her up a dark alley one night to show her what scared was please feel free fellow abers to form an orderly que behind me!!!!!
