holiday suggestions with ryanair

Right. This is the deal. Ive got a couple of days off I can go on holiday, its got to be cheap, so Im looking at all destinations leaving from London airports that Ryanair does:

I have already been to Rome, Venice, Riga, Paris, Dublin, Malaga, Lisbon....apart from these, can anyone recommend a short vacation on one of the ryanair routes from london? Thanks

Barcelona - you fly to Reus, a bus meets the plane and takes you to the centre of Barcelona. I did it earlier this year and loved Barcelona.

Barcelona would be wonderful still warm and loads to see and do. Enjoy wherever you end up is'nt cheap air travel great?

Frankfurt - but hire a car and head west to the Mosel valley in wine season rather than bothering with the city.

I would love to hire a car and go to the wine region but I dont have a license :(

I'll add my support to Barcelona. Spudqueen has mentioned travelling via Reus but you should also check out the flights to Girona. (There's a direct bus to Barcelona from there as well). On some dates, flights to one of these airports can be far cheaper than to the other one.

I enjoyed a day trip to Malmo with Ryanair. I spent a few hours looking around the city and then hopped on a train to Copenhagen. (The trains are fairly cheap. They run 24 hours per day, with departures every 20 minutes for most of the day).

If you decided to skip Malmo and go straight to Copenhagen, there's a direct bus from Malmo airport.

I've done day trips to Genoa several times. The timetables have been changed, so day trips are no longer possible but you might be able to fit in a short break. (There's a good, cheap bus service from the airport to the city). The old city of Genoa is fascinating but the real attraction is to take one of the incredibly cheap trains along the coast to the delightful resorts of the Italian Riviera, such as Rapallo and Santa Margherita.

Give Frankfurt a try. Just be aware that what Ryanair call Frankfurt Hahn is in fact nearer Luxemburg. There is a bus connection to the "real" Frankfurt (takes about an hour and a half, I think), but you could also consider taking an airport shuttle to somewhere like Bingen, Mainz or Koblenz. All in or near wine-growing areas. You could get a bus to Koblenz, boat down the Rhine to Bingen or Mainz and then a bus from Mainz back to Hahn. If you're lucky with the weather, this is the best time of year to visit these places; food and drink will be plentiful and affordable; and you shouldn't have any problem finding a cheap pension.
