Well, well, well yet another lively debate that is what it is all about, but to summarise.
sp1814 - You have let yourself down with your contributions to this debate, you have finnally come clean and exposed that enormous chip that is sitting on your shoulders.
No I am in no way against anyone that is Black or Moslem,or Homosexual. But what I am against is when it is seen that certain groups get preferential treatment over others. But I think Dassie was able to address you more eloquently than maybe I could on these matters.
Incidentally from someone who has lived through al the decades you mentioned, the 1950's were the best, life was so much simpler.
Regarding endering the Police Officer to his community, his community is London, England. And he is not a Muslim Police Officer he is a British Police Officer.
There is far too much of this diversity, and the sooner the mixture of races and religions, and sexual preferences that we have in this country of OUR's, come to realise this and no longer demand to be treated differently, the better we will all get on.
I thought Famous5's contribution was interesting. How would the staff in the Israeli Embassy notice that it was a Muslim Police Officer outside, so as to attack him, and perhaps set off worse riots?
But then perhaps what is now needed, is for the various groups that now makeup our Police Force (Oh dear Iv'e slipped up again sorry POLICE SERVICE) to wear flashes on their shoulders stating what group they share their allegiance to.ie. nationality, religion or sexual leanings, this would then make it much easier when the Duty Officer dishes out the day's work.
