The initial point was that people in general may need to be more careful than they thought, that maybe we're not as safe and shielded on here as we think we are.
I'm all for freedom of speech but I have to admit I do find it hard to read very personal attacks and threats and it does make me worry about how honest and open I should be on here especially when posting a problem or responding to one using mty own experience as an example or encouragement and such.

99.9999999999% of the time, minter is the one who starts throwing insults, IE when I challenged him about him being an ex army office, his words were
"I AM NEVER WRONG , I WAS AN OFFICER, HOW DARE YOU CHALLENGE ME I WAS A HERO, YOU FOUGHT THE WAR WITH A SYRINGE. LAMBERT YOU ARE A COWARD AND YOUR WIFE IS A PROSITUTE. I HOPE YOUR CHILDREN DIE OF CANCER"
That was the start of tirades against me, the man? is a despicable wretch.

Yes, tell me about it... i posted an embarrassing question and a veteran reqular absolutely slated me and it got to a virtual fisty-cuffs match.... it was definately promted by other users, simply because i had signed on as a 'new' user due to the nature of question and the other person is a veteran user. Apart from that, one can't see or hear the tone of voice that any remark is meant so a person might take a joke to be an offensive insult, which is a shame... with regards to the veteran user, we just carry on having banter with everyone else and they never got to find out who it was... and I've let it pass because it put a right downer on my day that i was sitting at work and couldn't explain that it was a genuine question and not meant to be offensive.
The veteran wasn't wardy though in my case, although if i were to put their name in the title, a lot of hate questions have been added.... so they are almost just as notorious. I know wardy is very strong-minded but i certainly didn't expect Wardy to throw an answer like the one above.... thats very harsh... but live and let live.... PEACE. X
I'm all for friendly banter and mick taking but when it crossed the line to extremely personal insults it is too much for me.
Should people walk away so the taunters get bored and give up although I understand people's need to try and defend themselves especially some of the awful comments I've seen on here.

it just shows that its not just AB that causes such trouble between strangers.
Ive been the subject of abuse on another site after pointing out that a woman who had just taken a key and a screwdriver to a car parked next to her because it made it hard for her to get into her car that it was appalling of her to brag (yes she was bragging) about it.
