Just heard that the muslim teaching assistant,who refused to remove her veil in class,as now been dismissed by the local authority. In my opinion this is a victory for common sense. Your views please.

Always interests me that topics of this nature always have a good response... but rarely people would air their opinions outside the walls of their house. Probably because someone within ear shot would be "offended". Crazy.
Anyway, back to the point. I believe this has nothing to to with being racist. The simple fact is that if your mouth is covered up, then of course your pupils aren't going to hear a ruddy word you're saying!

i'd like to know why, all of a sudden, muslims all over the place are starting to insist on wearing them everywhere, whereas before all this palaver they didn't?
i lived in bradford for 2 years, in the centre, and i probably recall seeing about 10 people in burkhas in that whole time -
that was about 12 years ago.
i think its time they adapted the burkha for the 21st century and allow for just the features to show.
