I don't think it was really an invasion as we didn't want to rule their country just free it, and we didn't steal any resources (contary to popular belief i.e. Oil), so I would call it LIBERATED , so hopefully we wont have to wait 200 years for a Thank You
This is one heckuva slow news day today...
errrrr....No
you call what has happened in Iraq liberation? i would laugh out loud if it were not so tragic!

i see little freedom for the INVASION, i see little in the way of solution for the future of the Iraq people either. All i do see is one enormous mistake and underestimation of the concequences, for what? a more stable world?a better Iraq for the people of Iraq? WMD?

i won't include my cynical thoughts on why we were there but it's not for the reasons i suggested above, but no point in debating that further thats been done to death

i would say that in relation to the initial post, is an apology required? well, yes in my opinion, when you make a "mistake" an apology is required, but we are talking about ego's of bush and blair, never going to happen...

The English could start by apologising for the Suez crisis when 1600 Egyptians were killed for no fault of theirs.

The after that the English can start apologising for the 600,000 innocent iraqis who have been killed as a direct consequence of the lies told by Blair that they presented a imminent danger to our country
matt66 If you must criticise our country, why should it be only England that apologises?

Wasn't it the British and the French involved in Suez? Try to get the French to opologise, Hell will freeze over first. Then we come to Iraq once again not only English but British, along with the USA and all the other coalition countries.

matt66 i do not know what nationallity you are, but I ask once again why English?
AOG, the answer is very simple. Its England that makes the decisions. Yes the army is comprised of various nationalities but the decision is taken at westminister by a largely English group of politicians.
......even though the Prime Minister is Scottish as is the Chancellor of the Exchequer?
The PM does not call himself scottish. The chancellor has an english flag in his front garden. They have sold their souls to teh devil
But Tony only killed them to free them from Sadam. Besides the Religious don't mind killing, they reckon there's an after life, and'' God knows his own''.
I'm not sure whether there will be any Iraqis left by then to apologise to, so you may not have to worry about it after all.

As for a great big "thankyou" from the Iraqis for the so called 'Liberation" (how stupid do you think they are).................. don't hold your breath!
