Road Tolls

The report into traffic congestion is out today and what does it say ....We might have to pay to use the roads through tolls !!!


Don't we pay enough anyway with the Road Tax and tax on petrol ?

Surely congestion is caused by too many vehicles at one place at the same time? If Some of the vehicles are removed, then there's less congestion.
There is this crazy idea that people must work 8-4.30, or 9-5, and of course don't forget the mommies taking the brats to school at about the same time. By me congestion stops at 9.15, the roads are relatively quiet till 3.30, then madness till 6pm.
So the simplest solution is to stagger work times, but this of course wouldn't generate any money for Mr Brown would it?

If we were to take every untaxed and/or uninsured car off the road (said to be aprrox 10%) this would cure the problem for the next few years.
