Whats happened to Rodney Marsh on TalkSport?
Has he been sacked again, and if so what did he say?
I thought his joke about the Toon Army in Asia that got him sacked from SkySports was brilliant.

Come to think of it, it's been a while since I last heard Hackney Marsh on Talksport.

Unfortunately, I wasn't listening when he told his joke about the Toon Army in Aisia; nor were lots of Answerbankers, either, I suspect. So I hope you're going to re-iterate it for us, Panic Button!

It was at the time when David Beckham was struggling to get into the Real Madrid side and was reported to be unhappy.

Newcastle had been on a pre season tour somewhere in the far east. Then of course there was the dreadful tsunami on Boxing Day.

Rodney joked on Sky Sports News that David Beckham had been offered the chance to join Newcastle, but had turned them down because he had heard about the trouble with the toon army in Asia. (Well it seemed funny when Rodders told it!)

Not surprisingly there was an outcry about how tasteless it was and he was sacked.

I may be factually inaccurate, but that was the gist of it.

He also got in troublt when playing for England.

Sir Alf was giving them all a serious pre match briefing, and warned them sternly that if they didn't do what he required he would"pull you off at half time"

Rodney answered back "thats amazing. At Man City we only get half an orange"

He never played for England again.

I believe Rodney Marsh has gone back to live in America.
