I see from the last dates of submission of items on Current affairs and Politics that these are unwanted and the all inclusive News should be restored.

I agree phaloides, there were some cases where a sub-category was needed (Football in sport for example) but they went a bit mad and did loads of unnecessary ones.

Thank goodness there is an opportunity to moan about these divisions.

I think it's clear that people have voted with their feet (or fingers) and kept ocnversations in the main categories.

As I said there were some sections which got a bit bogged down with one subject (football being the best example) but there was never a need in places such as news and food and drink to split them out.
