Stolen photographs
1 Answers
Hi, Someone is using a number of my photographs on their MySite page (which they copied from my homepage)and are saying that the pics are of them.
Does anyone know of a way or a programme whereby people can view pics but can't copy them and use them as their own?
Also does anyone know of a 'copyright' clause or jargon I can copy off the net to shock her into removing my pics as nothing I have tried has made any difference and I hoped this scare tactic may work.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.

You can use javascript to stop 'right clicking' but the information can be gleaned from 'view page source' so is pointless.
Anything on a computer screen can be 'captured' and edited.
You can try threatening him/her with legal action under copyright laws, but s/he will know it's just 'talk'.
You can watermark your pictures, making it difficult for other people to use, but these too can be edited.
It's not safe posting photos on the net. Copying in this way is just one of the risks.
