Hosepipe Ban
How does one know when they can use their hosepipe again? OK, I can look out of the window and see that it's been raining recently, but that doesn't mean a ban has been lifted.
I'm referring to the Thames Water ban for the southeast that was enforced in the second quarter last year, but their website has no mention of it.
I just want to wash my own car again, and although they do a good job, I'd rather not take it to the Poles down the road at 8 a time.

**UPDATE**
As of yesterday (17th Jan) Thames Water, Southern Water, Three Valleys Water and Sutton and East Surrey Water have lifted the hosepipe ban, which affected more than 13 million customers.
South East Water and Mid Kent Water said they would review their ban (the only ones still active in the UK) at the end of January.
Cholderton and District Water, the only other company to introduce a hosepipe ban, lifted restrictions in December.

I have my homepage set to Yahoo! :- have done since the year dot, so I saw the news on the headlines this morning. A little too windy to do it today unfortunately!
With regard to the elbow grease comment... I have done that one since I've had this car, but I want to use the pressure washer!
Maybe tomorrow. Thanks again.
