Something hapopening in London?

A friend has had a phone call from her partner this morning .He is supposed to be delivering in London but he couldnt get near the centre.He phoned to say 'thanks very much for asking how I was' .When she protested he coulnt beleive that something that has brought the Capital to a standstill wasnt being reported in the general news .He seems to think it was a gun related incident .Maybe hype from other drivers . But what was/is going on in London?

The Ministry of Defence Defence fair, at the Excel Centre at the Royal Docks. You can buy nuclear warheads, battleships, tanks, torpedoes and small arms, including Kalashnikovs, AK-47, anti-tank guns.

And the anti-war folks have been demonstrating. Tuesday was the 'peaceful protest', which merely consisted of sticking razor-blades under posters, supergluing alarm buttons on the Docklands Light Railway, and various other 'japes'. And Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are the non-peaceful ones, so that'd probably be it.

OR, There was an explosion in Blackwall Tunnel, and part of it collapsed and was closed all day.

Was it the David Blaine stunt over the river thames. or with it being sept 11, security was at an high & police ect taking no chances with anything.
