When is everyone going to wake up the the increasingly radical / paranoid views of this countries Once moderate muslims.

Many ordinary Muslims did not believe that Wednesday's arrests were an act to foil a terrorist plot aiming to visit unspeakable barbarity on a young British soldier.



Rather the entire operation was a giant con trick. This fits a growing perception of a post-9/11 world in which innocent Muslims are demonised, and the terror threat manufactured to suit the dark designs of the West's Judaeo-Christian elite.

Yes admarlow after I had read the following passages from the Times web site you posted, I quite agree, it is time everyone woke up.

For the real extremists, one need only search the internet. Here, it is not difficult to find those who believe that Lance Corporal Jabron Hashmi, from Birmingham, who last July became the first British Muslim soldier to die in Afghanistan, was an apostate traitor to Islam who fully merited his fate. A message board entry on one website says of the fallen soldier: �I�m a British Muslim and all I can say is ha, ha, ha. Hope this ******* died a slow and painful death.� Another contributor wrote: �Shame on him and his family,� while posters on the Hizb ut-Tahrir website condemn him as a �traitor who got what he deserved�. Mr Idrees went on to explain that his duty as a Muslim came before his duty to Britain. He would leave the country rather than fight against a fellow Muslim in a country such as Iraq or Afghanistan. (timesonline)

For some of the hardline Salafists who run a bookshop and a mosque in the Small Heath area of Birmingham, even the fundamentalists of Ahl-e-Hadith come across as weak-kneed liberals who are hardly fit to be called Muslim. (timesonline)

These is and will always be extremists in all religeons but it seems that more and more muslims are turning to these view, muslims who used to be proud to be British.

It is true that there's nothing like kicking down people's doors in Forest Gate in the early hours of the morning, accidently shooting someone, dragging them off to jail and then letting them go with no charges to really radicalise people!

IRA recruitment was at it's highest when troop activity was most "robust".

And what percentage of those arrested under the prevention of terrorism acts are eventually being prosecuted with terrorist offences ?

And the Times sits in it's Ivory tower and "tut tuts" about how people are becoming less co-operative with the state.

I see in the paper today police in Birmingham are giving out leaflets (translated into 4 languages) asking for calm amongst the Muslim population in Birmingham (after recent arrests).

Suppose German Nazis during World War 2 had come over here and planted a bomb on a train killing and maiming hundreds of innocent members of the public.

Would the police have had leaflets printed up in German to give out to German people who lived here asking for calm.

No of course not.

We are pussy footing around with a group of terrorists who have sneaked in here with the intent of ruining this country.

In the last few months (years even) almost every other news item seems to be about Muslims, race relations, immigrants, asylum seekers, black gun crime.

What used to be a great country to live in has now been dragged down to third world levels by the incompetent politicians we have.

I now HATE living here and would love to be able to afford to get away before it is dragged down even further.

Hmmm, Too many deluded people about these days. Its about time people woke up to whats going on around them. Why does everything regarding muslims have to be treated in the upmost sensitivity or with discretion?
Its about time the laws of this country were enforced to other religions too. It is England and anyone living in England should abide by the English law. I am sick of hearing about everything having to be handled differently because of a certian religion.

Thank god for that, i thought the entire population of this country had either become Lefties or Nazis. Something has to be done against these people and anyone who agrees with them, sending them back home to a wonderful Muslim welcome should be in order. Those who like it here and openly distance themselves from the terrorists can stay by all means. The others i am sure would love to step back into Islam and all its wonderful traits and we can live here happily and try to get on with it. On Sky News just now there are reports of police doing ASBO raids in Liverpool to flush out white troublesome scousers.
I wonder if the police will print some fluffy leaflets to keep their neighbours calm?
I wonder if the neighbours need to be kept calm?
And as many Liverpudlians are of IrishCatholic descent, I wonder if Father O'Shaughnessy was consulted before the raids for tips on sensitivity?

Isn't English law based on innocent until proven guilty? Seems a lot of people want to change that law for Muslims.

Lets have a look at the top 10 Muslim countries by population: Indonisia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Morroco.

Now how many of those countries (at least two of which have nuclear capability) have attacked other countries for any reason in the last 20 years?

A year ago i would have agreed with the leftie point of view and gave them a chance but as far as i am concerned they have had it and i would like them to leave. Oneeyedvic, you have listed some wonderfull countries for them to go to, i am sure they would welcome them... I hate ALL religion, esp Christainity and i am sick of having to abide by it's shiste rules, but they are the rules and i do so. If i went to Iran and stole something, i would expect to have my fkg hands chopped off, if i tried to blow them up,,, off with my head with a dirty penknife, i wouldn't get special treatment, well niether should they over here. But the blame for this situation has to lie with government, multiculturalism and some indiviuals.

I really want to answer this question in depth, as I feel so strongly about it, I am fed up with Indian & Pakistani majorities in my area getting off with things because no-one dare walk on eggshells around them even! before we are called racist! I don't agree with Iraq, but all this Muslim arguments are just giving the no markers power! This isn't aggressive, racist or whatever, it is fair.

I am SO glad to see that there are still people out these who share my views!!!! Does anyone know anything personally we can do to combat this tide of terrorism and the people who stand by / do nothing. Who should people contact, write letters to, sign whos petitions? Why is there never a demo against terrorism when it seams every week these is some protest for some terrorist friendly campaign!
