because from the moment we are born we are taught and conditioned to be girly and pink and fluffy and are told we are physically weaker and that certain things are 'mans work' and certain sports are 'mans sports' and told if we even so much as attempt to change a fuse we will be laughed off the face of the earth - because its a mans job...
boys on the other hand, from birth are taught and conditioned to be tough, and rugged and strong, and given weapons as toys, and expected to enjoy combat and war and boxing and always to protect their younger siblings and then when they grow up they are to be the protector of their families, and to try to be the alpha male, and if they so much as look at a doily they are wimps...
so, when as situation arises, men think their muscle mass will save the day, women use guile, because they know they are not invincible.
women will assess, men barge in all guns blazing - automatically of course...both men and women can do both.
men will obviously create a plan given a moment to stop and think, and most women will put themselves in grave danger to save their children, because instinct over takes logic.
the other conditioning in women is that they think they will be protected by the men in these situations, that they are to stand back and let the big tough men deal with the problem, and men in turn have the protection conditioning and instantly snap into that mode
it all comes from years of conditioning.
and it is mens fault that some women may end up helpless and useless in those situations because of their refusal to allow women to behave like human beings first and foremost, the supression of nature in favour of nurture based on polite society, and wanting their daughters and wives to be 'pretty little things'
