What would you have liked to see happen to this evil couple who tortured their 4 year old disabled daughter?

Bearing in mind they've been jailed for 10+ years each, but will probably be out in 4!

If it was up to me, they'd be given lethal injections & removed from this planet pronto - but then again that would be far too kind for them!

As usual though social workers are found wanting. If they hired some social workers with a bit of common this sort of thing may have been prevented. Bit no they always hire from the ranks of the Guardianistas, liberal do gooders with no clue about real life.

Generally I believe that people should be given the chance to rehabilitate and once a prison sentence is complete they have served any debt to society.

In this case I would make an exception, if nothing else parents convicted of child abuse should be made sterile.

It is often said that some people do not deserve to die. Well, these two do not deserve to live.

An appropriate sentence would be a bullet in the back of the head for each.

And before any of the do-gooders ask, yes, I could carry out the sentence if asked and sleep soundly at night.

Death is NOT too good for them. Pre-planned, systematic torture of a child deserves the death penalty. Save the tax payer a fortune and two less inmates in our already over crowded jails.

They need to be forced to feel the pain and utter misery that the poor little child had to suffer. How do 2 monsters like this end up together, whether we are fond of children or not, our instinct is normally to protect them, thank god the grandmother intervened.

Hmmm, its all these do-gooders that are to blame. There is nothing in society these days to deter people like this from carrying out these disgusting acts. Even when they go to prison, you will get some human rights idiot saying that they need rehabilitation.
I have always said laws need updating in this country. they were fit at the time they were set, but now the borders are opened up to more 'uneducated' people coming into this country. A lot more crimes like this will happen. Children especially need more protection.
I dont agree with people about the death penalty as i dont see that as fit for the crime. they should really be locked in solitary for the rest of their life, that way they can suffer for what they have done...

I couldn't read all of that - it was making me, a rugby playing bloke who likes to think he's a man's man - upset..............and hot with anger.

I just simply can't comprehend how an adult could do that to any child, much less their own child - it just simply beggars belief.

As we don't have the death penalty in this country (although I really do think that exceptions should be made for utter utter ******* scum like these two), then I'd like to see them serve a whole life sentance in a 3 foot by 3 foot cold dark dank cell and made to wallow in their own filth. No TV, no bed or mattress, no mingling with any other human beings - basically their life should be a living hell.

I am ******* fuming, I mean really really fuming - I just can't understand how somebody could do this to a child - OK, I'm starting to ramble a bit now, so I'll shut up, but by christ I'd like to give that poor child a cuddle and try and show her that not all adults are scum.

And if any of those Guardian reading hand wringing idiots are thinking of adding to this thread that we should be helping these people and empathising with them, not punishing them (or some other such ********), then I'm pretty sure I'm not speaking for myself when I say keep your inane wet liberal ******* opinions to yourself. Personally, although anti-death penalty usually, I'd happily have killed them myself. I agree these people are monsters and need punishing profusely for what they have done, in fact no amount of punishment would ever be sufficient for what they have put that poor little mite through, however none of that will help their child, who , no matter how carefully and lovingly raised from heronin, will remember that, and one day will need answers from the only people who can give them to her, so you'd better hope that the "do-gooders" do manage some form of rehabilitation on this appalling pair or you are going to have a very, very damaged young adult ion your hands in a few years.

i know many criminals can benefit from from help and rehabilitaion, as sometimes they are essentially good people on the wrong track - but sometimes, some people are just plain evil scum!

sometimes behaviours can be blamed on the way they were brought up and the bad time they have had - but these two? No, i don't buy it!

I just do not know, Words fail me once again, I cannot believe the Judical system in this Country any more, The Setence for these two should be 10 Years in Jail where they will face a very Rocky Road and after that excecution and Good riddance to the two of them

i saw this item on the news last night.
i had tears in my eyes, i was so angry.
but what is so depressing no one from the social services is to be reprimanded, apparently
social services visited their home on several
occasions, the very fact that they did visit so many times proves they thought there was a problem.yet once again they have let down a poor defenceless child. why is no one from the social ever accountable.
at least there ugly evil faces were shown on the news. so lets hope the prison inmates
where they are sent, will take care of them,
