Is that the same as:
"I'm right and I don't care what anybdy else says !!!, Fingers in my ears NAh NAh NAh I'm not listening!!"?
I have a 12 year old daughter a bit like that!
Of could it possibly be that neither major political party takes it's scientific advice from Channel 4 TV programs.
Especially when the director has a bit of a history last one he made on the environmental movement Channel 4 ended up having to broadcast an official apology!
There have been some on how 9/11 was a CIA put up job and how the Americans didn't actually go to the moon.
Just because it's on TV and sounds plausible doesn't make it true!

I don't understand how they think they are going to police the idea of 1 short haul flight per person per year. Who is going to keep all the records, are we going to have a scratch card system added to the new ID cards which will be scratched off at check in. Unbloody believable, now I have no one to vote for next election.
Jake, I have to assume you either didn't see the programme, or didn't want to know what they were saying. I firmly believe that global warming is a natural phenomenon, along with countless others. As far as a debate, the facts just don't stand up as far as I'm concerned, when it's shown that one small active volcano spews out more co2 than all of mankinds' production in a single year, and not forgetting the oceans, which emit thousands more times than any volcano, I just don't buy it. Sorry Jake, it's just the way I see it.
I saw the first half of the program, then had to do something more important with my life.
I especially liked the bit where they went on about how little of the atmosphere is comprised of greenhouse gases and then promptly shot themselves in the foot by pointing out that without them the Earth would be too cold for life!
These arguments are nothing new - here's just one site that answers them point for point - but I don't expect you to believe them

Just one point though - The sun has a very famous 11 year cycle of activity - if solar flares were so important do you not think we might see a similar 11 year climate cycle?
The bodies of experts that believe human emissions are a major influence (not sole cause) on global warming runs into the thousands.
I for one am not about to gamble our childrens future on a conspiracy theory - and it doesn't look as if either Cameron, Brown or any responsible politician is going to either !
