Does anyone know why it apparently took a number of days to discover the Video Tape showing the comings and goings to his room on the night of his death?
I don't think it shows anything so precise, the cameras were just by the lifts or something, not showing the room doors. But I suppose they wouldn't have bothered looking at them until they realised he'd been killed, which wasn't until the weekend.
I would think that those investigating the death were aware of the tapes and probably viewed them earlier but may not necessarily informed the press about it. Press reports suggest that, as jno says, the cameras do not cover the actual rooms but do give an indication of who might have been in the area of Bob Woolmer's room. They are also transferring the tapes to a digital media to avoid damaging them.
Some members of the Pakistan cricket team have been interviewed several times without a charge being made. Now they have left the country and heading for home. If it turns out the video shows someone needs to be charged there is no extradition agreement from Pakistan. Will the expected culprit ever be brought to justice?
I think politically any suspect from any of the competing countries will be sent by their Governement' to answer allegations - (except any Zimbabweans - as Mugabe would see it as a western inspired plot)
Any of the Cricket Teams would find it very difficult to continue playing International matches if one of their players/ex-players was implicated.
