Does any one think it is ridiculous how much the story has been twisted to make papers sell, There was one title "Horror on runway" The plane never left the gate!!!! What are your opinions??

Seems to have been reported fairly straight in my usual sources of news. BBC, Telegraph, even looked up Daily Mail, all OK. Did you read in a comic perhaps - Sun, Star or Mirror?

many papers report this way, but i suppose if bnothing else, this will serve as an embarrassing warning to other pilots who may be so stupid - though i doubt there are many.

i suppose it depends on how close he got to taking off - did he drive the plane around the tarmac?
if so, that is bad enough - it is essentially like drunk driving a juggernaut - i am having visions of that scene in airplane where the plane comes through the departure lounge!!

and did this guy try to hide his drunkeness and fully plan to fly?

had he been able to take off, doesn't bear thinking about!!

I mean, he could have been aiming for two landing strips!! lol

hopefully he will be thoroughly ashamed of himself.
