Captives: A deal was done.
Todays Daily Telegraph;
"There may have been more to this agreement. An Iranian diplomat kidnapped in Baghdad two months ago - apparently by Iraqi security forces - was freed and returned to Teheran on Tuesday.
America abruptly announced that Iran could have consular access to five of its officials who were arrested in northern Iraq in February."
Good Diplomacy at work?

A bad precedent has been set?

And im sure some of you abers ll diss me but im just glad its all over regardless.We are not at war with Iran neither do i personally want us to be. I hope we find out the truth about what happened to ensure the release of the British forces but, at the moment, I have so many negative thoughts. As an ex-RAF bomber crew member I am beginning to wonder how the whole approach to the integrity of the armed forces is being reshaped. There are so many questions beginning with the lack of protection offered by the mother ship and the lack of warning through the electronic systems and no cover offered by the ship's helicopter. There have been many adverse comments by many of our western friends stating- Where is the fortitude and statesmanship whereby no other can dominate and so easily put us into a lowly position? Strong leadership to show that we will not be subordinate to anyone is what we need.
