Posting of too many post's( to ED )

To Ed,

This might of been asked before i dont no.
Sleepyj was i guess kicked off for to many post's in a short time on my thread.
I know you have a policey on chatting on AB ie you can only post so many times within 5 mins.
But wouldn't it be better if a warning came up or you just cant post for a min or too instead of being banned.
This would help You as well less work to re-instate them.
A new member asked me why has this happend i explained and this is what they said.

"So you can threaten to kill someone, post peoples addresses, and basically p1ss everyone off, but post to many answers on the "answer" bank and you are booted!! Love the rules guys! "

I fully agree with your suggestion mrknowall ref a warning sign to members advising them that they are in danger of contravening the "unwritten" rapid posting regulation, although I have no idea how practicable it's introduction would be.
I was similarly banned for a short period recently, when my only transgression (presumably) was to answer several questions on different threads in the Q&P section, within a short time period.
This penalty has also been applied to other members of this section for similar incidents.
It does seem unreasonable to be exiled for simply providing the answers to queries raised ... and your suggested warning sign must surely be worthy of consideration by the "powers that be"!

I was going to name you sarumite as well but i didnt want you to take it the wrong way .Ive read you have been through the same thing on Quizzes & Puzzles.
I understand fully this is not a chat room i do think there missing out ,this is an answerbank.
If it wasn't for the like's of you and me this internet page wouldn't be making money.
To the people who are in charge change things before it's to late.
