When an enemy refuses to wear an obvious uniform in order to better assimilate himself within the civilian population, it is not surprising that many military personnel decide to view all civilians as potentially hostile and act accordingly on occasion. It's not pleasant, but it is the nature of modern warfare, sadly.

What I find more interesting is the first two responses on here.
But I guess that is why people like Blair & Bush get re-elected - people just dismiss this sort of thing acceptable and round on you if you point it out.
