The shootings in Virginia are reminisent of the shootings at columbine high, but I wondered if Cho Seung-hui, the Virginia shooter, was a part of the so called "trench coat mafia, that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were part of?

He is said to have been 'inspired' by a violent Korean Revenge film Oldboy...

"The gunman who carried out the worst mass shooting in American history reportedly re-enacted scenes from a violent South Korean film before killing 32 students and teachers at a Virginia Tech university.

Police think Cho Heung-sui watched the violent film Oldboy as part of his chilling preparations for the killing spree.

In a package of videos and stills, Cho can be seen wielding various weapons in poses that bear a strong resemblance to scenes in Oldboy, as well scenes in the works of John Woo, the Hong Kong director responsible for violent films such as Face/Off.

Whether you can blame a film for the actions of a deranged maniac is another debate.
