AB getting ruder?
30 Answers
Not sure if it's the weather or what, but has anyone else noticed that AB's users are getting ruder and generally nastier with their replies?
Take this for example....

There's plenty of other examples throughout the board like that one too ^^^
Yes we all disagree with each other from time to time, but is there any need to be so ruddy rude and agressive about it?
Are we like this to other people face to face? Or do we think that because we're anonymous and the other person can't re-arrange our faces that we can basically say what we want?
Or am I just becoming an old fart who longs to see a bit of courtesy and respect for each other on this forum?

Cheers Rosie, it just irritates me to see a great forum like this spoilt by twonks who think they can be agressive with their disagreements.
I refuse to show Mr Boo AnswerBank, he'd think I was nuts to keep coming back to a site where those kinda replies are becoming all too frequent.

I think it is very difficult to gauge how rude someone is trying to be when all you can see is the written word. You will often see posts which state "I was being ironic" etc.
Many sites have emoticons so that you can put smiley faces etc to give an indication of how the post is meant to have taken.

Agreed Vic , humour, sarcasm and irony doesn't carry well via text. However even you must agree that the above example was unnecessarily rude?
As I've said, it's not a one off either, seen alot of nasty replies to perfectly innocent questions on here lately.
Personally, I think it's the sun- it's boiling brains ;-)

I agree too B00, i noticed it the other week when someone had asked a perfectly decent question and then got such a nasty reply, i was shocked so i responded to be told "FFS, sorry for having an opinion, " and then got called nasty myself!!!! In my opinion, there is never any need to be downright rude and aggressive. if you don't like the question, think its silly or irrelevant then leave it alone!
