Hey wardy - maybe I should expand a little.
Take your policies one by one
1. Under UN resloutions the UK must grant asylum to those in need, so you could not opt out without leaving the UN. As for immigration - the British Empire caused that by making half the world citizens.
2. & 3. The income tax hike would ensure that the captains of industry would leave in droves, and the loss of ancillary taxes would mean there'd be no money for hospitals etc. Income tax cannot hope to make up the shortfall - see point 12 below.
4. As for ANY assault - what if they're off duty/to blame/ or lying?
5. Texas has one of the highest rate of murders in the US, ands actively enforces the death penalty. Ergo it is not a deterrent.
6. Actually, i agree with this one.
7. Are you actually insisting on prisoners being forced into work in society? Who'd guard them? You abolished taxes, so there's no money in the coffers
8. Amazing how many call for a return to National Service once they're too old to be enrolled themselves.
9. The BBC should never be privatised, it is a beacon to all that shows how broadcasting can stay independent.
10. Since I disagree with pretty much everything the green party stands for, (I don't agree that humans play a great role in global warming for example), I can't agree with this. However, the taxes you'd impose would already be illegal under policy 2.
11. If british players were good enough, that would be a redundant policy anyway.
12. Since the industrialists emigrated to get away from your punitive tax regime, who'd run the industry? And since you'd 'make industry work', who'd buy the products - think it through: you can't force prices in China, India etc to go up, so you'd need to produce at a low price, leading to lower wages, leading to a loss in income tax etc.
13. Who'd farm a half acre in the centre of Manchester?
That's why I'd never vote
