What job is the most hated on AB or elsewhere?

I have noticed peasant social workers as an insult and others have asked if I am one when they have vehemently disagreed with my leftie do gooding views. Also noticed police getting criticised and Politicians seem to be universally condemned and some Abe's seem frothing at the mouth at the thought of them.

What sort of job do you despise and why?

Nowt wrong with social workers. Im quite surprised you get credited with having a job, Im just a bloody hippy.

I don't really like Estate Agents, they seem to think they are a cut above the rest and seem to do very little for their money.

The worst job I ever had was as a Taxi driver, I have never earned so little and been so bored!! I have done it three times but only for short spells as a stop gap!!

I think the worst job to be had now is probably a politician as you are automatically going to be branded corrupt

GS, well perhaps for some being a social worker is worse than a hippy? Maybe they think hippy is an occupation as those who call you that are not exactly intellectual giants.
Sorry for offence to Estate Agents but I have to agree, one asked me when selling a house how much did I think it was worth, I suggested that was his job. I was also struck dumb with admiration when one showing me a room explained it was a kitchen, the oven and the sink kind of gave it away.

I am surprised as I thought it would be quite nice meeting different people all the time and being able to have a quick chat. Presumably you didn't have anyone interesting in the car, certainly not AB's who would have talked non stop on some of the weirdest subjects.
Do you think politicians start of with good intentions and get side tracked by power or even the good ones get labeled as lying thieving self serving double dealing scum? Must be pretty depressing if you are one of the good guys - if they exist.

ruby27, I did meet some great people in my Taxi but most of the fares are mums coming home from shopping, picking kids up from school and of course the abusive drunk throwing up in the back of your cab, the boring bits are when you are sat on the taxi rank for an hour at a time twiddling your thumbs.

I think many politicians start off thinking they are going to change the world until they see the rich pickings that a few blind eyes and a few lies will get them!!

I know what you mean about politicians, I used to get a bit jiggy with a young tory leader ( I know, I know) and he was so enthusiastic about changing the country, although I rarely agreed with anything he did and after one function with him, I was never allowed again. I wasnt good for his image lol or particularly supportive. I see him now and I just think cokc.

Im another vote for the estate agents Im afraid. First one to market my flat took a couple in who were 'desperate for a flat' according to agent. Feedback a week later explained that the potential buyers didnt realise a 1st floor flat meant theyd have to walk up stairs! second viewing they never even got any feedback and claimed not to have viewers number.
Got it on with other agents now who took 10 days to get it on rightmove site, even after being asked evey other day why it wasnt on. They told me each time, it takes 24 hours and i said 'yeah? then why wasnt it done when i called 2 days ago and 2 days before that?'
we made an appointment to view a house that we'd been looking at. waited 45 mins for agent to meet us (owner had gone out to allow us to view). when we called agent to see why they werent there, we were told they didnt have the staff to show us around. No call, nothing.

Skreechy.... Traffic Wardens and coppers just do their jobs. Majoratively if you aint doing anything wrong, they will leave you well alone.

Yes I know they are doing their jobs Goodsoulette but the question was "What sort of job do you despise and why?" I wasn't the only person to say it! And anyway all they do is charge people money for parking/speeding. The rest of the work they do is ok though (ok so that eliminates everything a traffic warden actually does, I say we send them into exile!)
