What are your experiences of the floods?
Many people in South Yorkshire who were affected by the flooding have been told that they might have to wait three days before the streets dry out. This means another few nights in rest centres for people forced to leave their homes. Have any of you been affected by the flooding? And do you think that more should be done to help people out?

Why are you only asking about South Yorkshire? How about East Yorkshire, Hull and Lincolnshire? Hull is the worst hit in the country according to news reports, yet once again, it's the 'forgotten city'.
In the local press, 10,500 properties were reported as being affected in Hull, 2,500 more in the East Riding, 32 schools seriously damaged. There's talk of it taking more than a year to sort some properties, and some schools may not open until after Christmas.
Of course, there was also the tragic case of the young man who drowned while stuck in a drain.
Please don't forget us, just because we live at the dead end of the M62!
