Let's hope Cameron has the courage, if elected, to deliver what he is promising on crime.

And on tax and bureaucracy for that matter.

Finally policies that appeal and that are designed to motivate Tory voters - a return to traditional conservative politics.

So will concentrating on crime and tax help him win?

That harridan old harpy Toynbee must be sharpening her pencils already for what she laughingly calls a column.

Do you mean 'laughably'?

Or do you actually think she laughs as she calls it a column?
Talk is cheap. "When we are in power will do this", how many times have we heard that before.

Yawn.
I'm not holding my breath. From 'hugging a hoodie' to being the 'greenest' guy around, he clutches at straws and jumps on every bandwagon going in the hope of gaining popularity.
Cameron is very disappointing. His policies are disappointing. And he is an unlucky politician. On current performance, Elvis has more of a chance of being Prime Minister that Cameron.
If I was Brown I would call an election now.

I'm sure Cameron's a lovely fella but there will be a snowball fight in hell the day he's elected leader.
Hasn't October been mentioned?
As the old saying goes....."it doesn't matter who you vote for, the government always gets in."
We've heard it all before and I've yet to watch a politician who can open his mouth and speak without telling lies.
Blimey Rev, you're not suddenly getting interested in politics are you?! Perhaps Cameron does have a chance after all... ;0)

Yes, it has been mentioned.

China - I never comment on politics because in reality every party is the same. The Labour party is really the tories of 20 years ago.

I am not on the electoral register and haven't voted since I was 21 lol
He has a major image problem and these days (unfortunately) that's very important.

You don't win elections by appealing to your core supporters because they'll mostly vote for you anyway and the floaters look at Brown and see a seasoned if puritanical heavyweight and they look at Cameron and see him here and there on photo opportunities and initiatives and he just looks lightweight.

Unless he can address that I really don't think he's got a prayer
flip flop..........a return to traditional conservative politics!!!!!!

so you want the rich to get richer and the poor to die????
ditto to that Reverandfunk.
Its the same old same old.
So "I don no" thinks if the tories get in the "rich will get richer and the poor will die".

Well it may have escaped his notice but plenty have people have got very rich under this labour government, and bonuses in the city of London run into the millions.

And of course the poor are dying, as we see on a daily basis, usually shot or stabbed by some piece of scum involved in drug dealing or high on drink or drugs.

The labour party has stood back and allowed the streets of this country to become a place of anarchy for some people, while happily spending about 6 BILLION of our money invading Iraq.

If only a small part of this 6 billion had been spent on more police, more to fight drugs, more prisons, more to fight illegal immigratrion, and better support for young people, then it may have become a safer country to live in.
I reckon its David Davies formulating these policies, and cameron is just going along with it.

If Davies was the Tory leader, I might vote for them, but not Cameron, the mans a washout.
Gomit, you must know, Elvis is no longer able to run for any office. In fact he's no longer able to run full stop!
China , I'd put my money there too, but stranger things have happened ! Look at Tone ! the biggest con man of modern times ! ( "Ah, but this is NEW Labour " ) oh, tell us more, no wait! stop! 'tisn't even funny anymore!!!
vehelpfulguy

I cannot disagree with what you have written. Tories, new labour ....not really anything to chose between them as far as the ordinary person in the street is concerned.

I don't know how it could be achieved but there needs to be people in government who do not forget who put them there and why....I mean the electorate and not some crummy financial backer.....but as soon as most mps get elected they cease to live in the real world.
