Proposed new laws from the EU?

It has been reported today that the EU are proposing to bring in new laws regarding murderers. They say that the sentences of people like Huntley, Brady and West are 'disproportionate to their crimes'. Who are these people to say that taking the life of another human being shouldn't suffer life imprisionment? It's beyond belief!

No link corby, I heard it on the BBC news earlier.
well its a bit misleading to say that the likes of huntly and brady et al will be released - the passage is merely that punishments shouldn't be disproportionate not release everyone early... i predict that in the cases you have mentioned such legislation would have zero effect. I suggest that the whole story is just a bit of scaremongering from the anti-eu brigade
This is why we must have a referendum for the people to decide, not the politicians many of whom have a vested interest in becoming comletely immersed in the EU.
