12-year old fronts fashion week in Australia
2 Answers
A 12-year old girl was picked to front the Gold Coast Fashion week in Australia. The girl who is 5ft 7ins believes that because she can fit into women's clothes she should be allowed to work in the industry. The country's prime minister believed that allowing girls as young as this to enter this kind of work is outrageous. The girl's mother defended her daughter's right to model and saw nothing wrong with it. What do you think? Is this mother crazy for letting her daughter become a part of this world? Or is her 12-year-old daughter old enough to be able to think with her own mind and not fall victim to fashion industry flaws such as drugs and eating disorders?

Although I quickly put on weight when my growth spurt stopped.I see where they are coming from, if she fits the proportions they ask for but the mother should be thinking about her daughters health. She will now face a battle to stop her weight gain to stay in the industy. At 16 or even 14 they are at least on their way to developing a womanly body, I just think if the curves start coming in the next year or two she is going to suffer some severe mental health problems.
Also how can a woman aspire to wear the clothes a 12 year old is modelling?
