an over dose is too easy for him to die.........they should allow the paents to have a few hours or days with him to torture him...slowly and very very painfully and try and keep him alive for as long as possible as he sees his arms cut off and his insides taken out...etc...etc...etc.....
Im not a violent person, however if it were my child he killed..i would love every second of torturing this evil bas***d. not to mention his girfriend.
Now that we are back on the thread -

as a parent of three daughters, my instinct is to agree with all the reighteous anger and venom that always accompanies any question to do with this man but -

as I have said many times before, and I keep banging on because I believe it to be true -

laws are what make us civilised, and avoid the vigilante approach that would lead to utter anarchy.

If we take the 'rough justice' argument to its logical conclusion, where do we wnd up? As 'Dirty Harry' so memorably said - "Next thing is, you execute your neighbour because his dog pees on your lawn ..." and who decides who weilds the sticks and ropes? Simply to be outraged by the callpous acts of an insane mind does not give you carte blanche to go around dolling out your own summary rought justice.

I am particularly irritated by every buffoon who appears yelling and mooning in the streets after too much alcohol, and in my mind, they deserve to be beaten sober, but does that make it right, or appropriate?

In a democracy, we make laws that protect the innocent, and if they also protect the guilty, that is not justification for abandoning them.

Our society is a long way from perfect, but these simple black and white 'kill'em all, let God sort 'em out' attitudes only work if you happen to side with the side dishing out the 'justice'.

Timothy Evans - ring any bells?
Risking being obsequious and sycophantic, andy-hughes you put those issues across excellently.
There wouldn't be any talk of vigilantism if the Government put sanctions in place to effectively protect the innocent victims of criminals.

A bit less sympathy and a lot more hangin' 'n floggin' would do the trick.

Sorry- I meant to say -'a LOT less sympathy and a BIT more etc etc
Is this what gives a human life dignity: not being a paedophile/child killer?
Just git in . I this a repeat of this AB thread....

andy-hughes I agree with everything you said. But I dont think the law goes far enough in protecting children from these predators. Why do they keep letting them out to do it again. They need to be controlled. If a dog bites someone, it is destroyed so it cant do it again. Now i am not saying that should happen in the case of paedophiles, but they have to remain behind bars at the very least.
