Is Putin right to deny the USA siting missiles in Europe to protect the East coast of America? Any first strike from hostile nations would be aimed at Europe. The British government are in talks for siting missiles on Menwith Hill in Yorkshire.

yes, I believe he is right, because the only way to protect your country, is by strength of arms.

Putin, from my perspective, is trying to bring back the Communist era, except by name, thereby posing a future threat to the West.

America, with its present gung ho attitude, wants to be in a position of first strike, if it feels the need.

I think, even with the Americans present record, Putin is more of a threat to world peace.

Missiles in Britain, yes, bring them in.
You must be joking Lonnie. You obviously don't remember the cold war following WWII and which has just recently thawed. These missiles will bring a return to this. The USA will escape it because dummies like the UK will act as the first strike target. Bush summed in up in the USA foreign policy when he said wars should be on foreign soil and not on the US mainland. One day the powers that be will wake up to this!
Yes he is right. Ms Rice & her US gun waving mentality need to be shown that other countries are now prepared to stand up for themselves
I think she, with the help of laim brain in the white house have lost any credibility with their outragous lies & unjustified actions.
As we can see there are warmer relations between Russia-China than any US-China & US Russia.
These are now the big boys who do not accept any US concessions but can bargain just as hard as the US
The west should not ignore this situation
I know i'm probably in a vast minority on this, agree to a certain extent with what honest-joe has said, but we've been watching Putin flexing his political muscles, and I believe, even at the risk of war, he wants to put Russia back where it was as the USSR.
I imagine the hypocrisy of Condy Rice recently saying there's too much unchecked power concentrated in the Kremlin was totally lost on her.
