last night i went to a concert in birmingham acadamy which laster bout 4 hours of continual LOUD music...when i left i had the ususal feeling of my ears being blocked and everything appear to have a "dampened" effect on my hearing
i woke up this morning and its gone in my right ear but its still there in my left. Intrestingly i rang up orange to check my balance and the woman sounds normal in my right ear but resembles one of the chipmunks in the left.
Will this pass or should i go to the doc?
Many Thanks

For added infomation... i do not seem to get any prominent "ringing" in my ear. Just a feeling of my ears being blocked.
I would probably liken the feeling to when u hold ur nose and blow so that you pop your ears...but it goes wrong and the air stays there for a bit and you cant really hear anything,

I went to see Status Quo at the Floral hall in Southport in 1975(ish) and as my friend and I walked back along the prom to the car my ears were ringing and my legs were shaking!! The ears were because of the noise, the legs was because we were standing on the seats and jumping up and down like everyone else, especially when they did Down Down.
Don't want to give you cause for concern, but if your hearing isn't yet back to normal, get it checked out. I experienced similar symptoms, muffled sound etc. Turned out my right ear drum is perforated. If the perf is a small one, it tends to heal itself in a few weeks, a bit like cutting your finger say. But if the perf is larger, it may require surgery - as mine does, and the bad news for me anyway, the hearing loss won't return. Hope you fair better.
