Steal a car, die horribly. Some might rejoice, some might think it is a tragic loss of life.

My heart goes out to this poor soul, especially at this time of year. For something like this to happen to a family at Christmas is truly tragic.

A death sentence suitable punishment for stealing a car?? Blimey, even the regular Daily Mail Junkies on here wouldn't be so...ah, what am I saying? Of course they would. ;-)

Seriously, his death MAY have saved the lives of others that he MAY otherwise have crashed into/run over - we'll never know for sure - but he was still somebody's son, maybe somebody's brother, somebody's boyfriend: should we laugh in the faces of his parents/siblings/girlfriend? I have absolutely no sympathy for him, but in these cases there's nearly always somebody left behind who has lost a loved one.

I am 99.98 percent confident the dead mans parent (note the lack of an 's') is vile scum as well so the death is a double rejoice.

If somebody robs somebody else at knifepoint I am afraid they have given up any right to be classed as a human being.

I hope his pathetic and no doubt drug fuelled world flashed before his eyes as he drove over the cliff and, praise be, the death was not instant so he had time to reflect.

Remember the old saying that we should never judge a man till we've walked a mile in his shoes? I bet this car thief had a tragic story to tell. Nobody ends up doing this kind of thing without being damaged in one way or another? A human life is a human life and cannot be dismissed because he commited a crime. People should hold off on the catty remarks as we don't know the full picture. I bet a lot of people would think twice if we could see pictures of this 'car thief' as a baby, as a wee boy on his first day at school etc. As someone said earlier - this is someones son, brother, partner. For all he done wrong he still deserves our prayers.
