The only good thing that has come from this story (if good is the right word) is the fact the mother of the thug actually grassed her own som up.

Many mothers of these chavs, give alibis and sanctuary to their foul children. It takes a brave woman of such a low class to stand up and dob her her son in. Hats off.

Basically he should be taken to Baghdad and dropped off in bandit country with only a knife.

One, he will take out a few insurgents which will redeem his crime (albeit to a very small degree) and two, he will soon be captured and die a long and painful death.

According to the local news, the oldest lad had been allowed bail a few hours earlier, despite objections from the police and CPS, for a similar assult except the other man wasn't killed.

Bail with the condition that he did not go to Warrington, as soon as he got out of court he must have decided to make his way there.

Second time this week the news has reported that a Judge has released on bail someone who has gone on to kill.
Maybe Judges should be held responsible if they overrule strong objections from CPS and police.

As for these three, 4 bare walls, bed, table and chair. Basic food, no choices. 8 hours hard physical labour each day. 4 hours of lessons mainly in how to become a good citizen if they ever become entitled to release.

We all share a responsibility for this tragic situation.
Lack of respect by some children for their parents is fundamental to their behaviour.
When I and my brothers and sisters were young, we used to ask -" what will mam and dad think, and how will it effect them ?", before taking part in any action that was potentially contraversial. These were days before single mothers, absent fathers and a lifetime on benifits.
I have lived in a small area of our country for over sixty years, and have seen these changes happen.
Housing for single mothers to further coppulate like rabbits, while childless married couples are left waiting
Single mothers and fathers should be supported by their parents- not by the State. That would wake some parents up!
Bring back hanging-bring back the birch-anything!!

Sorry my point was more to R1Man and WardMinter (Bewlay Bros) - they are constantly both complaining about immigrants / Muslims / Blacks. If this story involved any of those three groups they would be screaming for ALL immigrants etc to be deported or wiped off the face of the earth.

What happened to the crime of disturbing the peace? Coppers should be rounding up anybody guilty of this and the courts should impose a sliding scale of fines, probation, and then prison for repeat offenders. The trouble is, the cops are hardly ever there, and when they are they ignore disturbing the peace completely. What idiot councils still put up notices saying, "No Ball Games," knowing full well that although desirable, the cops are absent or complacent. They are only on the scene AFTER sombody is dead.

Although such conclusions about the rise in crime and violence may be hard to swallow, they have to be looked into and given open debate, because I think RAGGY ROMAN could be nearer the truth than some including our politicians wish to admit.

Regarding what can be done to help to alleviate the problem of the increasing crime on our streets.

Firstly the ideal solution would be for more action from the Police, after all this is what they are paid for. Forget the velvet glove approach (trying to win the hearts of these little scum bags) we have tried all these softly, softly Liberal Lefty ways, it has been proven they do not work.

There should be a complete ban on groups of youths congregating on our streets. To enforce this Police Vans should tour the streets and any toe-rags loitering around should be man-handled into the van, taken down to the Police Station, their parents informed to pick them up and charged a fix sum for Police time.

But then we all know this is not going happen, so what can be done? My suggestion to the good people on these estates (who suffer daily from these Yobs), would be to form vigilante groups armed with baseball bats, a good crack on the knees from these and the message would soon get through, not only to the yobs but also to the police, that the law-abiding people have had enough.

Lack of respect for the police, school teachers and parents who have lost all power to raise a finger to control the youth of today. Combined with the decline in religious beliefs and strong morals (is secular Britian such a good idea). These are the foundations of why UK is where its at today. Glamourisation of gangster lifestyle via music and tv with the breakdown in supportive extended family roles and decline of strong neighbourhood/community ethos are also in with a big shout too.
