Wondered that myself when I heard the news this morning that a woman had come forward this weekend.
Maybe she has been in a coma for the past 9 months.

I agree In A Pickle - studied a similar study when I did my psychology degree. If you look in the dictionary under 'predatory paedophiles who want to snatch your children' you will find the photofit that has just been released. I personally think that it looks like Freddie Mercury with a bit of extra hair - especially those teeth. Scary! I knew he wasn't dead!

Everyone knows the Portuguese investigation was incompetent, now it seems the British police are no better. It seems all very fishy to me, if this guy was acting suspiciously like the woman said surely the police would have followed it up, bearing in mind in the initial stages they were working on a kidnap theory...making him an ideal candidate

Cazzz - not necessarily. The Portuguese police, I'm sad to say, appear to be light years behind modern policing practises. So many unforgivable **** ups.
Madeleine was failed already by parents who chose to go out on the razz and leave her unsupervised. It's tragic that she slipped through the hands of the detectives too.

Yes sorry about the date she first reported it. But it did not mention this until later news reports,after I had posted this question.

I think he is a dead ringer for George Harrison, but is he likely to look anything like this photo-fit. Don't you think he might have cut his hair and shaved his beard?

Incidently how is it we have not heard anything more of that poor little child who went missing in Spain?

how come they have taken 9 months to do an artists impression and surely you wouldnt be able remember someone 9 months ago when you may have thought he was acting strange but nothing more and be able to clearly say how he looked, i couldnt say how someone looked last week let alone 9 months ago

- Because the British Police were incompetent. The witness gave a description, but the police did not seek to do an artists impression. It is only because the private investigation company has paid for this to be done that it has now been published.
