A 1,500,000 migrant workers taxed on 15,000 at 22% = 4,950M to the exchequer. Maternity 350M, Child benenfit 21M.

Or,

Make them exempt from any taxes if you want to deny them maternity Services etc .

I know is only a rough calculation, anyone want to refine it feel free.
Why is it that in other European countries, you have to pay for your medical services unless of course you are a British Citizen living in France and are covered for 2 years under the present NHS system, but other than that you have to pay for everyhting, so why aren't they paying when they come to our country? They are not British Citizens and have not paid anything, but the poor old dears have to go without special care that they badly need and which they have paid into a system for a lifetime, the same with cancer medication. But we can support foreign women to have more and more babies.
>A 1,500,000 migrant workers taxed on 15,000 at 22%

Which assumes there ARE 1,500,000 migrant workers and they ARE earning 15,000 and they ARE paying all their tax.

Of course if you say it is only 500,000 workers and they are only earning 10,000, and we HOPE they pay their tax, then then the figures dont look so great.

And if you factor in the health care for these mothers and children, and the child benefit, and the cost of school, and the cost of extra teachers if they cannot speak English, then the sums start to look a bit different.

And if you also factor in the money LOST by many British people taking their money and living abroad, and spending it there, because they are sick of the influx of foreigners, then it starts to look worse.

And if you finally factor in the extra security and police cost of having so many hate filled Muslims, drug pushing yardies and credit card stealing Romanains, then I hate to think of the extra cost.

You think only half a million have arrived?

The holy Daily Mail (link above) provided the 1.5M figure. Are you telling me they have exaggerating the number of immigrants that have arrived and that the problem isn't as bad as they reported?

That's outrageous!
Well, if the government are quite happy letting them into this country, then it should be happy to provide extra hospitals, schools etc etc. As far as I can tell, hospitals and wards are being closed as well as schools. No forward thinking as usual.....
My wife is not British and was born abroad and our children were both born in NHS hospitals

What would you have had us do?
yes my gf not english but at least she got job and paid taxes. what is the problem in letting all these immigrants come over, multiply in vast amounts making the country low oin rescources and unstable until they can finally take over it and kick us out?! whats the problem? you should just chill out and go get a wind shower outside which is caused by the ever incresing threat of global warming
The Daily Mail headline should be scrutinised further as well.

Maternity units turn away British mums as immigrants' baby boom costs NHS 350m

Maternity units cannot keep up with demand because the government under-estimated the number of foreign workers who would come here. So every expectant mother regardless of nationality, is getting a poor service not just British ones. If you are a Pole and 22% of your wage is going in Tax, you too want a decent service.
Its the same old story. People can be so generous when handing out money that doesn't come out of their own pockets. Health charities have to rely on donations to keep them going.

If these immigrants had to rely on public donations instead of robbing the NHS where would they be then?
I agree with vehelpfguy's excellent post.

The materinity costs of this immigrant baby boon is only the tip of a very large iceberg which is heading our way and will finally sink this once great Island.

But those that seem forever anxious to see the demise of our proud British heritage, will still wheel out all the same old excuses for why this vast influx of foreign nationals can only be advantageous to Britain. ie Filling job vacancies that our nationals refuse to take up, and that rather vague, and if not totally contradictory statement ; "their diversity only goes to enrich our culture further"

Now let's see!! The almost daily cases of murders on our streets carried out with the use of guns and knives, Muggings, imported organised crime, including sex slaves, child pick-pockets, identity fraud, the list could go on, regarding the further enrichment??? of our society.

I suppose the excuse of how this "baby boom" is beneficial to us, will be that the indigenous population are not producing enough off-springs to prop up our ever increasing elderly population. This maybe, but if one looks at the full picture, at what cost?

Those highlighed by vehelpfulguy, maybe.

And think of all the extra cars on our roads, too.
If you believed in a machiavellian government you could postulate that because of bad funding and planning for the NHS any faults, although not stated, were all the fault of these bloody foreigners entering the country.
