I saw a bit of this prog on Channel 4 last night, and I must admit that I have never sat and watched an entire show of this man but wondered what other people's thoughts were, because I just cannot see the attraction with him. I think I must be missing something/

I mean, Jim Davidson and Freddie Starr do nothing for me, I just don't find them funny, but I guess I can see why people would find them funny, but as for RCB he is a complete *rse, in my 'umble. I just don't get it, I don't understand what people find funny about him.

he gets his fans from all the swearing. What would his show be without that. But to me he is just filth. Even off stage

That's the only thing I could think of that would make people laugh, he uses lots of crude swear words.... but it stops there, there's no substance to it and nothing other than swear words. I'm not a prude by any means, I have potty mouth as much as the next person, but I just don't get how it's funny?

Mccfluff, I find Jim and Freddie to be really loathesome creatures, small minded and out dated, but I can see why people would find them funny if that is how you feel, I mean their shows seems to have threads and substance (and swearing), but RCB just seems to be swearing, whilst wearing flying goggles and a pink suit!

Apart from hearing people mention that Christmas song ("Santa Claus where's my bike you b*stard?" Or something equally charming) I have never know anyone actually admit to finding him funny yet he obviously has a huge following.

Hi nat, well being a bloke I have seen all 3 of them live.

Rcb. was funny first time I saw him, then it is as you say repetitive swearing

Jim Davidson, was just not funny, as for freddie starr I think he needs help. no comment on him

no need for all the bad language if something is funny it is funny, I have also seen Tommy Cooper (Brilliant) Ken Dodd (So funny) and Jimmy Tarbuck ( He suprised me he was very funny, so was Bob Monkhouse, he has such a quick mind.

but why would swearing be funny?? I cant really stand stand up comedy although I did go to see Alan Davies, but that was more because I got good tickets and I got to meet him backstage

He is not at all funny! Humourless.

He does swear alot, but so does Billy Connolly and I find him more funnier than Roy!

Hi 4get, thats the thing isn't it, just swear words are not funny, and if that is all the act consists of, well we could all get up there and do it, I would never go to see RCB again, it is schoolboy humour and talking filth about womens "Bits" so count me out, and I swear like a trooper all day at work.

The silly thing is there are some very funny people on this site, they should be on the stage doing an act for us.

very weird that swearing isnt funny but tourettes people are. I know its not nice but admit it everyone has had a chuckle at a tourettes sufferer

Never liked Jim Davidson, always thought he was pretty talentless.

Freddie Starr, Brilliant. Look up him singing Starry Night on Youtube. In his day he was amazingly funny

We can't call people for swearing now, the likes of Billy Connoly and Gordon Ramsey have made the word "fcuk" a national institution..

Take the rude words out and Chubbys jokes are quite funny.

It is strange that the same words spoken by different people provoke differering responses.

There's nothing wrong with crude asuch Doc, no-one is saying that, only that crudity / swearing is about the only thing he does - there doesn't seem to be much else to it?

Morning everyone! I have to say that RCB is what I call a comedian for "gentlemen of a certain mentality". Unfortunately, I was persuaded to go and see him live a few year's ago, and although my opinion hasn't changed, I was amazed at how many old ladies were in the audience, falling about at his vulgar jokes!! I can't speak for the other two guys, Jim and Freddie, but my mum has a CD of Jim's, singing "Cats in the Cradle". Not only are the words very true, but Jim's singing voice was lovely on that.
