Jews don't eat pork because it isn't kosher:
"Mammals that both chew their cud (ruminate) and have cloven hooves are kosher. Animals with one characteristic but not the other (the camel, the hyrax and the hare because they have no cloven hooves, and the pig because it does not ruminate) are specifically excluded (Leviticus 11:3-8).[2] "

Hi thegasgooner - If you really are serious for the sake of knowledge as you mentioned then you will not find more comprehensive answer than from this website. Just click on "Most common questions asked by Non-Muslims" and see question number 11. Otherwise over you are asking for swimming lessons from the people who live in Sahara Desert. As you must have realized by few Decadent replies. http://www.irf.net/irf/faqonislam/index.htm
Under the strict dietary laws, lawful food is called Kosher in Judaism and Halal in Islam. Both religions prohibit the consumption of pork. The Christian Bible also forbids it.
A common explanation to the fact that pigs/swine/pork is widely considered unclean, or unfit for humans is that they are omnivorous, not discerning between meat or vegetation in their natural dietary habits. The willingness to consume meat (carrion) sets them apart from most other domesticated animals which are commonly eaten (cows, horses, goats, etc.) who would naturally eat only plants.

Who wants to be a millionaire. A man on the last question.
If he answers the question, he wins a million.
Which of these birds does not have own nest.
1 pigeon 2 sparrow 3 cuckoo 4 duck
Man uses his last a final life line and phones his friend David,
It is very simple David said - It is Cuckoo.
Final answer "Cuckoo". Well-done you have won a million.
He books holidays in Caribbean and takes his Friend David with him as he is the one who answered such a difficult question.
"David" he asks him while enjoying a glass of Champagne resting near the sea front, "How did you know that Cuckoos do not make their nests".
"It is very simple" David says. "Everyone knows that Cuckoos live in the Clocks".
Is that a good answer or a Lucky answer.
