Wake Up, Pal! Here are the Facts, as I know them, open to your Rational debate (Best brush on your History first) ! No, I don't deny your statement about today's American Kids. Mine are well into their 40s now, and well established.

1. You are Responsible for a Huge Part of our History!

2. We are Responsible for your very Existence!

a. We resisted following you back to England in the late
1700s and finishing our job.
b. We ran you out of the USA again in the early 1800s,
again allowing you to go home.
c. We saved you from having to take Glockenspiel
Lessons in 1917 and again, in 1944.

3. Since then, my Land and your Land have stood,
side-by-side, in several combat scenarios all over
the World.

Believe it or not, our Citizens do not routinely berate
your Citizens or your Country. We do not make fun of
some of the phrases you have used, as you have mine
within this thread. On the contrary, your Land is
looked upon and spoken of as a Friend speaks of
a Friend, believe it or not.

We US Citizens have plenty of problems of our own.

I am reminded of the English lady tourist who commented on being told of the Battle of Yorktown - "another British victory!" "I'm sorry ma'am, said the tour guide, but that was one time your folks lost." "Nonsense, young man", replied the Home counties matron. NO, we only voted in him once. His brothet Bubba, I mean Jed, rigged the vote in Florida so he 'won' a second time. (I never voted him anything.)

Much to my dismay,we are not allowed to teach such trivial things like map skills or grammar anymore. We teach in groups. This way only one ot of five does any work. We are saving energy. :)
